Endeavour’s launch delay
CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (AP) – NASA discovers a leak in the cabin crew area of Endeavour’s a week before launch. Endeavour’s was going to liftoff on August 7.
On weekend NASA detected a leak. NASA thought it set the trouble by tightening a slack bolt, but on Monday night after testing they got that air is still escaping from the cabin crew, told by NASA spokesperson Tracy Young.
Engineers have so far to pin down the leak, which possibly will require so much work that NASA may not be competent to launch Endeavour on 7th August.
NASA’s intended launch of the Mars lander Phoenix later on this week can also obstruct with Endeavour’s flight.
The Phoenix has merely 3 weeks in which to launch ahead of facing a 2 year wait, and the task by now was short of back from a Friday launch to Saturday as storms postponed rocket preparations.
Space agencies authorized have point out that they feel like the Mars craft on its way before Endeavour gets its number at launching.
